Kindness often comes full circle, as Mr. Harrison, a retired teacher, discovered on a snowy winter day.
One quiet afternoon, Mr. Harrison sat in his favorite diner, sipping coffee and reading To Kill a Mockingbird. A young boy, Alex, entered, shivering in oversized clothes and failed to buy food from the vending machine with his few coins.

Alex became a regular presence in Mr. Harrison’s life, bringing groceries, fixing things, and spending time together. “You’re family now,” Alex said when Mr. Harrison expressed gratitude.
One snowy afternoon, Mr. Harrison handed Alex an envelope with a note: “For the chicken soup fund—keep passing it on.”
