‘The Voice’ Judges Think 14-Year-Old Kid Is Playing A Joke On Them When They Hear His Huge, Deep Voice
Blind auditions on The Voice always captivate judges, especially when a contestant’s appearance contrasts with their voice. Fourteen-year-old Jacob Norton from Colchester, Essex, stunned the judges with his deep voice during his audition. Performing “Puttin’ On the Ritz” by Fred Astaire, Jacob’s mature voice belied his age.
Judges Pixie Lott, Will.i.am, and Danny Jones were shocked by the powerful voice and quickly turned their chairs. The audience cheered as Jacob continued his captivating performance, engaging both them and the judges. After finishing, Jacob’s excitement was palpable as he jumped for joy, thrilled by the judges’ praise.
Pixie called his voice “beautiful” and “unlike anything I’ve ever heard.” Danny was equally impressed, calling it “absolutely incredible.” After considering all three offers, Jacob chose to join Team Danny, admitting he was initially nervous but ecstatic when all three judges turned.
