‘The Voice’ Judges Think 14-Year-Old Kid Is Playing A Joke On Them When They Hear His Huge, Deep Voice
The judges on The Voice UK are often amazed by the contrast between contestants’ voices and appearances, and 14-year-old Jacob Norton from Essex was no exception. During his blind audition, Jacob’s deep, mature voice left everyone stunned as he performed Fred Astaire’s classic “Puttin’ On the Ritz.”
Judges Danny Jones, Will.i.am, and Pixie Lott were so captivated by his powerful voice that they all turned their chairs, initially thinking it might be a prank. The audience erupted in applause, and Jacob’s flawless performance delighted both judges and viewers.
After finishing his song, Jacob’s excitement was evident as he celebrated like the teenager he is. Pixie praised his voice’s depth as “unlike anything” she’d heard, while Danny called it “amazing.” Despite his nerves, Jacob chose to join Team Danny, admitting he never expected all three judges to turn for him.
