Eighteen-year-old Chris worked near a closed-down bike shop, where he noticed a lonely Shiba Inu named Ollie waiting by the glass doors every day. The dog was clearly not a stray—he was too clean and calm—and locals mentioned he belonged to Mr. Lawrence, the shop’s owner, who hadn’t been seen for weeks.
During his lunch breaks, Chris started feeding Ollie, though the dog never ate immediately. Instead, Ollie would grab the food and run off. Curious, Chris followed him one day and was led miles away to a locked, abandoned house. Inside, he discovered a starving German Shepherd, Max, trapped and weak.
